It's been nearly 2 months since my last official weigh-in....and unfortunately the scales show it. Actually I was still maintaining my most recent weight (148) that is until my boyfriend and I went on a 7 night cruise.

Have any of you ever been on a cruise? It's a dieter's nightmare (or greatest dream since the reason dieters need to diet is because they love food too much). There is food available literally 24/7, awesome buffets, great desserts...I just couldn't say no...EVER. As of today I am up to 156, but as this post's title suggests, I am resetting and moving forward.

Under my weight goals on the right hand side, I have set new goals for myself and even a new (and lower) final goal weight.

I am the worst blogger ever! It's been a month and so much as happened. RECAP!


  • Only made it to Day 6 of the Master Cleanse, but lost like 7lbs.
  • Got promoted at work! I am now someone's boss - kinda scary ;)
  • My 27th bday is in a week and a half - VERY scary!
  • Leaving for our cruise in 5 weeks and still have 8 lbs to lose to make my goal
  • I have hit a plateau in my weight loss (although I haven't been making to much effort to lose)
  • I bought some new clothes cause a lot of mine are now too big - I am officially a size 8 again :)
  • I've hit my 15lbs loss mark and need to take new progress pics
Whew! I've gotta blog more often!

Master Cleanse: Day 3 & 4 Recap

Well, so far I have made it to day 5. Last night, I will admit, there were tears. Yes, I actually cried and it was over food. I just want to chew something! Even the healthiest of things sounds soooo delicious right now. Like carrots sticks and celery. Or oatmeal with peacans. And this receipe for Creamy Avacodo Pasta sounds lifechanging.

I am nervous for this weekend. Without the distraction of a 9 hour workday, I am going to have to keep myself VERY busy and FAR AWAY from food to survive the next 2 days. I imagine those two days will be the hardest. And then the final 3 I imagine will go quickly since I will be back at work.

I have been doing alot of thinking about my eating choices once I am done with this. I have been doing WW and it works pretty well for me. But I wonder if it's the healthiest choice. I was a vegetarian for 2 years and just this past Janaury went back to eating meat because I found myself resorting to too many carbs.  Anyone have good experiences with "alternative" eating plans? Vegetarian? Vegan? Raw? Other?

I'd love to hear any suggestions/feedback you might be able to offer.

Master Cleanse: Day 2 Recap

Yesterday was Day 2 of the cleanse and it wasn't too bad. Matt and I went over to our friends' house for dinner...well they ate, I didn't and surprisingly it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

This morning I woke up really exhausted, but I have hardily any cravings and somehow a lot of energy now that the day has gotten going. I think the next couple days will be fairly simple since I am distracted with work most of the day, but I am nervous for how the weekend will go. If I keep myself busy, hopefully it won't be an issue.

I keep forgetting to take "beginning measurements" so I can see if I lost any inches during this cleanse. As of right now, I have lost 3.7 lbs and hoping to lose at least 10 total (*knock on wood*). Once I am finished with this cleanse, its super healthy eating and kick-ass exercising for me!

Master Cleanse: Day 1 Recap

Yesterday was my first day on the Master Cleanse. It wasn't easy. I was hungry. I was hungry all. damn. day. I dreamt of food all. night. long.

But on the flip side - I actually feel really good. I feel energized (surprisingly) and optimistic about the next 8.5 days.

Day two is going well, slightly easier than yesterday. Since yesterday I lost 2.7 lbs, although that is probably due to my massive "eat everything in sight since I won't be eating solid foods for 10 days" binge on Sunday. Either way, I feel good, energize and am lighter than I was the day before. :)

Master Cleanse

Tomorrow is Day 1 of the Master Cleanse and if I am completely honest with myself, I am pretty nervous. I did it once before last May and I got to about day 3 or 4, but I got sick (but not from the cleanse) and had to stop. So here I am trying it again. Luckily, my coworker is doing it with me, so I am not in this all alone. Hopefully this week will go quickly.

Leaving For Nebraska

I weighed in today:

Last weigh in: 151.7
Today's weigh in: 150.4
Loss: -1.3

Leaving for Nebraska tomorrow and weight goal was 149.9.....is it possible???

Possibly...yesterday was a huge company event and in the early part of the day I was working on cutting some foam board for these displays I was making. I'll spare you the gruesome details but I'll tell you this:
Exacto knife+my thumb/nail=trip to Urgent care and 5 stitches.

It hurts like a beezy and the Doc put me on an antibiotic and vicodin-both of which are making me sick to my stomach. To help with the nausea I have been trying to eat some crackers and that may hinder my weight loss goal for tomorrow. That and the fact that I probably won't run tonight since the increased circulation would make my thumb throb more than I could probably stand. With that said, even if I don't make it into the 140's by tomorrow. I came damn close and am very happy with how I did trying to reach my goal.

I will be heading to Nebraska in the morning and hope everyone enjoys the holiday!

5 down, 3.8 to go

So I've lost 5 of the 7lbs gained because of Father's Day (see my previous post). I am 3.8lbs away from my Nebraska Trip goal of being in the 140's and I have a week to pull it off. It's gonna be a total b&tch, but I think if I really, really focus and kick a$$ at the gym, I might be able to pull it off.

7lbs. 2 Days.

How does a person gain 7lbs in 2 days?!? HOW!?!?

You visit your pushy, controlling, "What? You don't like my cooking??" boyfriend's father for Father's Day weekend. I know what I put in my mouth is ultimately my choice, but this past weekend I was definitely put in positions where I was either without better food choice options or felt like "I had" to eat what was cooked. Not to mention I have been eating super healthy lately, and Matt's parents - well, they don't. Everything is processed food and there is virtually no balance between veggies, carbs and proteins (everything is meat and carbs).

My stomach is in complete knots and has been since Saturday. Saturday night I woke up at 3am in a hot sweat, stomach in serious pain and unable to fall back asleep. Yesterday, I even left work early because I was in so much pain. Today isn't much better.

Next time we go up to visit his family I am bringing my own food. I am so frustrated because not only am I in pain, but I was at a new low in my weight loss and only 1.7lbs away from my Nebraska goal. Now I am WAY UP and going to have to bust ass to get back down to my low and I don't even know if I can meet my Nebraska goal anymore. I am not going to have an official weigh-in  until the morning I leave for Nebraska but I will be sure to update everyone with my progress along the way. I have 11 days to get down into the 140's...

I hope everyone had a better weekend than I did. :/
