I Suck

March 14, 2011

I'm pretty disappointed in myself. At my weigh-in on Friday I was up 0.6 lbs. I wasn't expecting a big loss since I technically lost over 4lbs the week before, but I wasn't hoping for a gain of any sort.

Where I think I went wrong: I'll admit, I was intentionally not eating all my daily points and I know that's something you are not supposed to do. I think my body was in "starvation mode" and clinging to every calorie and gram of fat that I did eat.  This week I am going to focus on drinking lots of water and eating all of my daily points.

However, I am even more disappointed in myself because not only did I not run my 3miles on Friday, I didn't run at all last week since my lame 1 mile run on Monday. I haven't run in a week. L.A.Z.Y.

My 5k is in 20 days and there is no excuse for this.

Today I am going to run 1.5 miles, Wednesday 3 miles and another 1.5miles over the weekend (aiming for Saturday).

I pledge to all of my fellow followers that I will make these distances happen this week.

Hope your week went and is going better than mine.

"WINNING!"

March 4, 2011
Today, is a GOOD day my friends.

I didn't make my run on Wednesday night, but ended up going last night so it was OK. My goal was to run 2.5 miles straight. I ended up doing 2.6 (sweet!) and completed it in 25:51.....that's a 9:57 miles folks!!! Best time since I was in HS.

Now, for the very exciting news. If you do recall from my post at the beginning of the week, I had fallen off the horse over the past few weeks. Weighing-in at 160.1 I vowed to get down to my last WW weigh-in weight by my meeting today.

I just got back from my meeting....

I weighed in at 155.8! That means I lost 4.3 lbs THIS WEEK and am down 1.2 lbs since my last weigh-in. To quote Charlie Sheen - "WINNING!"

Did I mention that this week I hit my 5% loss this week?  Yup! :)

I can't believe it. I am so excited (and proud) of myself. I busted my butt with my running goals this week (still have a run to come tomorrow morning) and have counted every last point. AND IT PAID OFF.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!

Today is a GOOD Day

January 27, 2011

So tonight I will go to my WW meeting, but I don't weigh in til tomorrow morning (yes-I go to two different meetings because I adore the leader at the meeting tonight, but want to weigh-in first thing in the morning without anything in my tummy).

However, I weighed myself this morning at home and the scale said 158.3. So, even though WW tends to weigh me in a bit higher than my home scale, unless I happen to eat my body weight in conversation hearts between now and tomorrow morning, I should have lost weight since last weigh-in. Yay.

ALSO...and perhaps even more exciting was this fantastic discovery: I had bought this really nice pair of I.N.C. pants for work a few months ago knowing full well at the time that they were too small. I bought them anyways cause I got an awesome deal on them and knew I would eventually fit into them. They have been hanging in my closet since...until this morning when I tried them on and they fit PERFECTLY! BOOYAH! Would have worn them to work, except they need to be hemmed since I am vertically challenged.

Hopefully I'll have good news to report in the morning.

Week 2 Weigh In

January 14, 2011
I weighed in today and while WW says I gained 0.2lbs, let it be known that when I weighed myself at home stark naked, I was 159.7. So I am going to keep telling myself I have officially broken 160. Either way, I am just grateful that my weight wasn't a worse number this week. After spending nearly a week and a half with Matt's (mid western) parents, it was VERY difficult to eat the way I wanted to. I am proud of myself to pretty much have maintained and not gained during that time.

This week I am going to focus on eating more chicken and drinking more water. I've been bad about training for my 5k the past week, but I'll be up first thing in the morning to go for a run.

Something New: Dragonfruit

January 7, 2011
Let me start by saying I LOVE that fruit and (most) veggies are zero points. It's amazing....and it's totally gotten me to eat WAY more fruits and veggies than I normally would - good work WW. At my WW meeting last week, my leader was talking about trying new fruits we have never had before and I took on her challenge. I tried a persimmon (delish!!!) and also I got a (nine dollar!!) dragonfruit. To be honest, I wasn't too impressed with the flavor of the dragonfruit - in fact I think mine may have not been at it's ripest because online it's reveared for it's flavor. Mine was good, but not too flavorful. But I couldn't believe how pretty and it is!! Take a look:

And so it begins!

December 31, 2010
Hello fellow bloggers, dieters and fitness fanatics!

Tomorrow is 1.1.11 and it's time to start working on those resolutions. My weight has been up and down all my life and this year that stops. I joined Weight Watchers again - did it before and lost over 55lbs. I've also set fitness goals for myself; on April 3rd I have registered for my first 5k and tomorrow I begin my training. My goal is to run in a 10k by the end of the year and a Half Marathon sometime next year.

Anyone have any similar resolutions/goals?

Share your blog links, I'd love to hear your stories!
