After two years of being a vegetarian I recently decided to start eating meat again, and surprisingly enough (and probably contrary to popular opinions) I feel so much better. As a vegetarian, I was never good about incorporating protein substitutes into my diet. I love tofu, but can't cook it to save my life. I hate most beans, and while I liked the taste of most "faux-meat" products (Bocca burgers, etc) I found they never sat too well with my tummy. In the long run, I found myself eating alot of pasta type dishes and I think this contributed to my weight gain over the past year.
Since re-joining the meat-eating population, I am finding myself being more creative with my cooking and eating much, much healthier and it feels great.
I am going home to see my family and friends on the 18th for the long weekend, and my goal is to be at 155 by then. I plan on taking round of progress photos when I have lost 10lbs...and I am actually excited to see if a difference is easily noticeable.
